Unusual & Unique Hama Crafts

Unusual & Unique Hama Crafts

2 Sep 2021

Hama Beads have been a staple crafting material for over 5 decades!
Created in 1961 these beads are now classified as the leading brand of melt-together beads in the world.

These beads allow the development of hand-eye coordination and encourage creativity.

Most importantly these beads promote the use of fine motor skills, helping to refine special grasps and the pencil grip in day to day life.

⬇︎ Here is a list of some Hama Bead Crafts ⬇︎

Starting off with my favourite, this
Hama Bead Bowl is a perfect craft for your children or yourself(if you're feeling in a creative mood).
All it requires is cooking spray, a glass bowl and the Hama Bead colours of your choice.
It only takes 15 minutes in the oven!

Another craft which could be interesting for both yourself and your kids, are these Hama Beads Coasters.
All you need are varied shades of Hama Beads and the pegboard shape of your choice.

Are you lacking birthday card ideas?
Then give this quick craft a try with your little ones.

This card design was sourced from the A Spoonful of Sugar website

Like the coasters, all that's needed are the basics but the possibilities are endless...
Lisa & Sarah from the spoonful of sugar designs website created some of these Hama Bead 3D Cards if you desire some inspiration.

Another one of my favourites, these Hama Bead Licence Plateswill make a statement on your children's bicycle.
You could do a simple named plate, flag of your choice or an original design.

The Hama Bead Bookmark craft will allow your children to add a level of personalisation to reading time and impress their friends.
I found 2 different tutorials for this craft.
The first is simplistic and requires a long pegboard, Hama Beads and a ribbon.

Here is a tutorial from the Craft Create Cook website.

The other is a bit more complex, as it requires glue and wooden craft sticks.
These can also be used for plant markers.

What better way to show off your little one's creative flair than with these Hama Bead Bracelets.
You will require either a large square or hexagonal pegboard, the colour Hama Beads of your choice, elastic and a glass.

Just look how sweet this flower design is....

The Hama Bead Keyring craft is another easy one.
You simply create your chosen design on a pegboard then add a keychain ring through one of the holes.
You can buy 30 of these rings on Amazon for a cheap price, so why not go for it.

Here is a tested WikiHow article on this craft.
